Shinsekai Yori - From the New World 

´We ultimately fear what spawns from within us'

Fear, Loss, Lies, Betrayel. - Desire, Conflicts. Strength and Perfection. Some words to descripe Shinsekai Yori, but words just can`t descripe this Anime what is a masterpiece for me. 

Adapted of the novel Shinsekai Yori takes place in Japan and tells about a civilization set 1000 years in the future where mankind are capable of using an ability known as "Juryoku" aka Cantus, a powerful psychic power. From the beginning we will follow five children as they begin their journey and grow up into adults in a community bounded by strict rules. They even have to make choices that influence their future and the future of the society they live in. We will see that mankind has in this new world no need for technology or anything like that. They create new species like the "bakenezumi" and other new types of species and organisms. That Utopia that mankind created for themselves is peacful, however, we will learn early in the story, that this evolution came at a high risk and the history of this utopia is written in blood and hidden in secrecy.

We start the Anime with Children which are really young (12) and as the story continues they get older  (14) and in the end of the Anime they are adults (26). Some people would think " No that can`t be good at all", because some animes used to handle such a situation not well ,but Shinsekai Yori did it quiet well. 25 episodes are really not much time to make a proper character development from children to adults. However, for me Shinsekai Yori did it so well, it was amazing. You saw everyone develope so well, there wasn`t a character who became from one episode to another so totally different. They explained and showed how their behaviour changed so well. I really liked it. 

A really breathtaking part of this Anime is the Music for me. The OST`s are really awesome and the feels that came over you by watching this anime with the music in the background is just stunning. Thats because the music was not too much , not too less , just perfect for the scenes. The music really supported the scenes so well that you have to like it. The Anime itself has no opening, I was so surprised, but after some episodes I think it was great that the anime didn`t have an opening. I think the opening would ruin something in that mysterious Anime. Therefore i didn`t care for an opening, but i didn`t expected such an ending. There are two endings, and the first one has two videos. For me I loved both endings , but until today i love that first ending, it`s just so epic and suitable to the Anime even the video fits so well. It was really a good choice to make no opening and make such a great ending.

My Opinion: 

The story is complex, difficult to understand, but it`s flawless. It`s great that it has it`s own story, an original story what wasn`t used until now and is not predictable. There are so many things I didn`t understand at the beginning, but as the anime goes on I learned the truth and my questions got answered.. Still there was always a new question in my head until the end of this Anime. 

I loved how the Anime showed society and how it was handled when they discovered the ability they have. Even if the people were afraid or so strict to them , depressing feelings came up and everything , i hated it how it was but still could understand how things were and i kinda liked it in the end.

I have to say this anime has some plotwists and scenes i didn`t expect. I was so shocked as I keept watching it and learned the truth! I even didn`t expect that the anime would take such a flow in the last episodes and that ending, it was just so unpredictable that i loved it so much. 

I have to say that the ending is somehow.. don`t know feels weird, but it ends that you are somehow satisfied with it for sure even if you think it`s weird. Of course you don`t know what i mean now, I don`t want to spoiler and maybee when you watch it in the end you find it also a bit weird but still understand the situation well and still like it and your satisfied with it. It just feels kinda natural that ending.
